AWG is office-based exclusively; this means that Drs. Angueira and Roman only see patients in the AWG office. Patients are seen by appointment only. Emergency cases are referred to the walk-in clinics (per insurance company recommendation) or to the Emergency Room of one of the hospitals nearby (St Luke’s, Specialty and Transplants, Methodist, University Hospital or Santa Rosa Northwest). Patients that require admission to the hospital are admitted to one of the hospitals listed above by a group of physicians specializing in Internal Medicine and in-hospital care (Hospitalists of San Antonio, HOSA). Drs. Angueira and Roman do NOT see patients in nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
